Traci Ison - Advocate, Interpreter, and Entrepreneur
Hi, I’m Traci Ison, a founding member of ASL Pros LLC. As a CODA (Child of a Deaf Adult), I was raised with ASL as my primary language, shaping my lifelong commitment to the Deaf community. Throughout my career, I have served as a Sign Language Interpreter, advocate, and entrepreneur, working alongside Deaf leaders and business professionals in Kentucky, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
Beyond interpreting, I am passionate about driving industry transformation and championing Deaf leadership. I have held leadership roles in national community organizations, including a three-year term on the RID Board of Directors, where I advocated for increased Deaf leadership and systemic change within the interpreting profession.
In addition to my advocacy work, I am a personal performance coach and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in small business ownership. My passion for teaching ASL began in 2003 when I started instructing college courses at a local community college. At my core, I am committed to lifelong learning, personal growth, and empowering others to break through barriers, uncover their potential, and create lives they truly love. Whether through interpreting, coaching, or leadership development, my mission is to help people achieve what they once thought was impossible.
